Meet Our Amazing Instructors

Roland Breise (Junior at La Jolla Country Day)
Roland has been participating in FIRST robotics programs since 4th grade. He has been part of the World Champion “Water Works” First Lego League team and currently does most of the programming for the First Tech Challenge team “Crash Test“. He has been mentoring younger kids in robotics for 4+ years and has helped several local schools start new programs.

Jax Espinosa (Junior at La Jolla High)
Jax has been involved in FIRST robotics programs since 4th grade. He has been part of the World Champion “Water Works” First Lego League team and currently does most of the electronics and build for the First Tech Challenge team “Crash Test“. He has been mentoring younger kids in robotics for 4+ years

Richard Yoon (Junior at La Jolla High)
Richard has been involved with FIRST robotics programs since 4th grade. He has been part of the World Champion “Water Works” First Lego League team and currently does most of the drivetrain build for the First Tech Challenge team “Crash Test“. He has been mentoring younger kids in robotics for 4+ years.

Nick Cunha (Junior at La Jolla Country Day)
Nick has been participating in FIRST robotics programs since the 3rd grade. He is the captain and lead designer of the LJCDS varsity robotics team. He also serves as a mentor for the junior varsity robotics team.


Devin Breise (Adult Supervision)
Devin has been coaching youth robotics teams for about 10 years, volunteers extensively in regional robotics programs and previously partnered with La Jolla Elementary to grow their robotics program into a regional powerhouse of learning. While this is a young-adult created and hosted camp, Mr. Breise will be present at all times to handle any questions or issues that arise.
